• HOW LONG IS A DAY?

A day is roughly 8-10 hrs. This includes loading, set up time, lunch breaks, rough mixes.
On Lockouts of 5 days or more, we provide a dinner meal for our clients. We believe recording should be creative and stress-free. Dinner break is served family-style. Typically pasta veggies and salad or BBQ in the summer.

  • HOW DO I SCHEDULE A SESSION?

We are happy to put your desired dates on hold for a couple of days, however, sessions are only confirmed once we receive a 50% deposit. That deposit is held and refunded or credited toward your last session. All services are C.O.D. Your balance must be paid in full at the end of each session. No materials will be released until the C.O.D. account has been settled in full.

  • HOW DO I PAY?

Cash is king and Paypal is our friend. All services are C.O.D. Your balance must be paid in full at the end of each session. No materials will be released until the C.O.D. account has been settled in full.

  • WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL?

Cancellation within 1 week of your session is an automatic forfeit of deposit. Rescheduling is okay. Repeated cancellations and rescheduling won’t be accommodated. We get it, sometimes stuff comes up, however, we all have hectic schedules and bills to pay. Last-minute cancellations make it difficult to fill the space meaning the studio and its engineers lose time and money.

  • CAN I CHECK OUT THE STUDIO BEFORE I BOOK A SESSION?

Of course and we think you’ll really like us. Please call and let’s set up a walk-thru. Were here to help you get the most out of your project.

  • CAN I RECORD TO TAPE?

Yes of course. We have 1″ 16 track and  1/2″ 8 track available for tracking drums guitars or whatever you like. Rental of reels are available for minimal cost.

  • GEAR RENTALS?

If there’s something special you need – we can get it. Whether it’s a 1967 Black Beauty snare, a 1969 Marshall, 1956 Neuman U67, or Vintage Compressor. We are able to get you a substantial discount from our friends at S.I.R., Pro Piano, Steven Jarvis, David Denny, and others.

  • CAN I BRING MY OWN ENGINEER?

Yes in most cases that is fine, but handled on a case-by-case basis.

  • DOES THE STUDIO STORE OUR SESSIONS?

No. You are responsible for your own session backups. Please come prepared and with your own hard drive or other storage devices. Some of our engineers will keep their own backups of the session but it is not our responsibility to provide storage of your session.  We simply do not have space. We are able to back up your sessions on DVDs and are available on-site for 5.00 each.

  • WHAT HAPPENS IF I ACCIDENTALLY BREAK SOMETHING IN THE STUDIO?

If you break it, you bought it. Or more likely will be charged to fix it.

  • WHAT IS THE GUEST POLICY FOR THE STUDIO?

This has very rarely been a good idea. The recording process is not very exciting for non-participators and can be a huge distraction to the band. This is something I highly discourage, but if it’s absolutely necessary that someone else comes with your group, please let me know ahead of time.
